I've played one. Ibanez puts out great things. Neck is thinner like a Jazz, but I like that.

The Ibanez's are great instruments. If you wanted to go cheap. This one needs a new nut and with a new pickup would probably be solid.

I want to get something right out of the box, I've got too many other projects laying around and I'm not wrapping things up like I used to...

For the money, you could certainly do worse. My primary bass is an Ibanez and I love it.

I've never heard anything bad about them, even the cheapest. Imo they seem to have a better reputation than cheaper Ibanez guitars do.

I have 2 of those same models for my high school class, they are pretty good and smooth players.
check every single nut and screw on it when you get it, both mine had loose parts.

I suggest eventually getting flatwound strings for it, makes them play like butter !

Man I've got everything to learn about a bass, I'm a bass virgin lol.

I saw a few posts about flat wounds and checked out a few videos and I'm definitely going to try them.

I'm probably flats but that was a bit controversial last time we discussed it. Don't get chromes. We all agreed if you had to do flats, those were stickier.

Excellent, I was looking around online and didn't find much of anything.
. These look nice and beefy too, I like that.
