Warmoth bodies and Fender pickguards

Re: Warmoth bodies and Fender pickguards

As long as it is from an American Standard, yes. An MIM Standard should fit as well.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

I bought a GuitarFetish guard from a second party that I think was cut wrong because the lower cut-away does not line up right.....which is probably why the guy was selling it. I just won a guard directly from GuitarFetish for cheap, hopefully this works out better for me. I just wanted to confirm it was the guard that was bad, not my body. :)

Re: Warmoth bodies and Fender pickguards

Yeah, you gotta be careful with some of those aftermarket suppliers. They usually get them from overseas where the specs for the guitars they're intended for aren't even close, or they'll fit Squiers real nice.

Having a Warmoth body, getting a guard from Warmoth is pretty much a guarantee it will fit. Terrapin Guitars does good work too. He cuts them himself.

Re: Warmoth bodies and Fender pickguards

some strat and tele pickguards fit.

Mustang, Jaguar, and Jazzmaster guards don't. :D

Sorry. Just didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea. ;)

The Guitarfish guy guarantees they will fit "genuine" Teles. Warmoth should count in this case.
