Warmoth body stain and nitro

Started off that this was going to be the test subject for staining the PVX kit that I got. In the end the PVX arrived about 3 weeks earlier, so I had my staining and clearcoating muscles all ready to go by the time this one arrived.

I've got an old neck off a Samick of all things. Probably from the late 80's as I originally bought the guitar well secondhand in the mid 90's. Rosewood fretboard and a pretty comfortable back profile for some speed if required.

This wood will be fitted out with a Super-V trem, and my PATB 3 (A8 mag), a PATB stack and a 'lil '59.

Thanks all for the kind words:fing2:

Stain used was Stewmac vintage amber and red mahogany. I actually mixed weak yellow, and an orange for most of the 'burst', with some slightly more red tint for the very edge and back.

Grain was raised several times after sanding. It never seems to all stand up the first time.

Build pic update....neck on, as is the bridge and hardware. I've just drilled holes for the pickups and strap buttons.

I'll post a couple more once I've got these last bits fitted.
