i dont have anything right now....but depending on his price limit, tell him to go buy a roland cube. its small, portable, and it sounds pretty friggin good all things considered. i mean obviously its not gig quality even if it had the power but as a practice amp for a beginner...i think its perfect

Depends on how he he wants to go. I have a peavey 1x10 with reverb and 2 channels, 30W I will sell for $70 shipped. I dont think you will find anything better for the price. Clean channel is awesome and takes effects really well. Distortion channel is pretty good too if you have a decent pickup in the guitar.

I have a Peavey audition 30 I will check to make sure it works today. If it does, I will make a good deal on it.

Shipping to TN is gonna run you some bucks, I suggest looking around there for one, there's a gazillion of these. Sounds pretty good clean, has distortion, real spring (!) reverb and headphones out. prepal says av price is $58. Heck it would probably cost me half that to send mine to TN!
BTW my mom wants to move to TN, place called Savannah, know anything about it?

Off subject... Why Savannah? It's a pretty small town by the TN River, with Nothing going on. I have family down there though..

I'd recommend the Vox Valvetronix AD-15VT to anyone, at any skill level. Great sounding amp, lots variety, 15 watts, 8" speaker that sounds huge. It's well worth saving a bit more to buy an amp that he will keep for a while.
