Weak sounding pickup

I have a guitar wherein I've wired a humbucker between two P90s, working as two humbuckers (with the south coil in series with the bridge pickup and the north coil in series with the neck pickup.) Whenever the south coil is on the bridge pickup gives me almost no output, like the amp is all the way up, and it's barely making a sound. But it's not the phase, I've checked and even reversed that, and it can't be a break in the coil because it's giving me a tiny bit of signal. Anyone know what's up?

Re: Weak sounding pickup

Time to get the meter out and check the resistence of each coil. Also could be a short, lack of grounding, poor solder joint...check your wiring very carefully and make sure each solder joint is good (not a blob of solder, but make sure it flows thin).

My joints are fine, I even resoldered the leads... I'm gonna eat it and get another pickup I think, it's only $30.
