Weber Tweed Deluxe clone, quick vid demo.

Been on the prowl for a smaller screamer and Craigslist popped this up. Guy did a real clean build and did his own beautiful relic'd amp cab build, loaded with an Emi Cannabis Rex. I did one small tweak to the amp, the Parkhead mod, put a 220k resistor across the bright channel volume pot, makes it a bit fatter and brings just a touch more grind. Had tried a 470k first, but it was a bit too much. Tele, brief bit of phase, and delay, bright volume on 4, normal volume 5, and tone 3/4 open. I forgot to turn off my snare drum, so you get a touch of bonus sizzle at times. Iphone cam is the mic as well.

I love the sympathetic snare rattle.

Sounds great to my ears, the gain is pretty much where I love it.

You are digging into the hard stuff first! Please document that Hiwatt build, very curious to see how it sounds.

Sounds great to my ears, the gain is pretty much where I love it.

There is a chance I killed the speaker in the Sano with some enthusiastic bass playing yesterday. Will re-inspect today... But this little Deluxe is very pleasing, I have very few lightweight amps, so this combined with how good it sounds is really nice to have. The Cannabis Rex is a beautiful sounding speaker.

The Tele is a Thinline kit I built a couple years back, has a set of Squire Classic Vibe pickups in it, 250k pots and a .047 tone cap in it. Great playing guitar

Well, to me the hiwatt's the next step after the 2203... but you're right, a 5e3 will seem easy afterwards.
