Weird (?) Coil Readings: Custom and Jazz

In one of my guitars, the Custom (actually, a CC) in the bridge is greatly overpowered by the Jazz in the neck -- something to the tune of 6+ dB, as determined by flipping the pup selector switch while looking at a VU meter. Even with a (somewhat degaussed) A5 in the bridge, the Jazz in the neck overpowers it. I have both set to about the same distance from the strings. So, I broke out a multimeter and took some Ohm readings on the .0L scale:

Custom
rw - no connection
rg - 1.824
rb - no connection
wg - no connection
wb - 1.854
gb - no connection
gb with rw joined - 2.166

Jazz N
rw - no connection
rg - 1.428
rb - no connection
wg - no connection
wb - 1.436
gb - no connection
gb with rw joined - 1.864

Multiple readings were pretty consistent, with either "no connection" or no more than a couple of tenths difference.

Am I right in assuming that these readings make little sense? Not only are they fractions of what they should be (although plenty strong through an amp), but they don't even add linearly in serial.

.0L scale?

you should get readings of around 14k for the custom or

rw - no connection
rg - 7000 ohms
rb - no connection
wg - no connection
wb - 7000 ohms
gb - no connection
gb with rw joined - 14,000 ohms

you may need to move the bridge pup closer to the strings, especially if you have a degaussed magnet

Yeah, I'm not sure what .0L means, either... some sort of a scale, I guess. All I know is that when I switch on the multimeter (a Fluke 18 with a new battery) to ohms, it says .0L, and that when measured coil-to-coil, all leads unsoldered, I get the above measurements. *shrug* Not sure it matters, though -- both pups sound great!
