Weird problem I can't figure out; am I crazy?

I'm having the weirdest issue with my guitar/amps. It started doing this when I still had the 5150II. Whenever I play any chord with the low E involved it sounds sour... on ALL of my guitars. At first I thought it was bad tuning.. but everything checked out fine. Then I was worried it was my cab, but I tried it with another cab I had around it it still did it. It's done this with 2 separate amps and guitars too. I feel like I am going insane.. what the hell could be up with this? The only thing I haven't changed throughout is the speaker cable running from the head to the cabs, but would that cause just one string to sound sour? I am really confused and at a loss..my intonation seems fine too.

have you played the amp in a different room? try that and see what happens. there could be something goofy going on in the room which may (or may not be) solved just by moving the amp into a different spot within the room.

just a thought...the room is one thing that often gets overlooked when things start sounding goofy.

Wow. I am an IDIOT! For some reason my tuner was picking up my low E as Eb. So it was a half step down from the other strings. I'm a moron and you all may go about your business.
