I don't know how the HECK this started but it started yesterday and I can't get rid of it. I tried everything (obviously not the right thing) but I am at a loss.
I tried messing with:
pickup height
diff gauge picks
light picking vs. heavy picking
diff amp settings
diff guitars (from 10's and 9's) and amps (marshall 6100 and mesa mark iv)
impedance settings
I am not even sure how to describe the problem but here goes. Everytime I pick a string an annoying thump noise comes along with the string sound. It happens whether I pick fast, slow, or even just hold down the 3rd string 5th fret and strike it with a pick and "THUMP". Driving me crazy. It does not happen on solid state amps. I have a line6 flextone III and it does not happen there. It does not happen to the 6th, 5th, and 4th strings only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Is it my fingers, my body chemistry, the size of my d**K, wtf????
Someone please help I am about to be institutionalized!!!!!
