What Bridge Can I Use To Replace This One?

I have never been a fan of the standard P Bass Type bridge. Don't ask me why, I just don't like them. I hate the way they are, and I don't like the way they feel on my hand.

I would like to replace the bridge with this style.

However, as you can see, this style of bridge (below) I would like to replace has four holes drilled..... two up front, and two in the rear.

Is there another high mass bridge like that is exactly like the Omega in the first pic that has screw holes the one in the second and third pic? If not, could the Omega bridge fit in the outer two holes, and me just drill out for the inner holes?

Thanks!!

I don't see as there should be a problem in drilling two new holes as long as they are not right next to the old ones, in which case you would want to fill the old ones first. Just make sure the bridge is lined up properly.
Years ago I replaced the stock bridge on my P-bass copy with a Leo Quan bridge and had to drill a few new holes as I recall.

I thought the Omega looked familiar. Mine is a Badass 2. I think it has an extra hole in the top center of the plate. Killer bridge though.

I mean, I can drill, I just don't want to. Will the outer inside screws lineup?

Get a little ruler and find out. See how wide the two outer screws are on your stock one, compare to the other bridge.

You might consider this. It's not really anything like a badass (omega) bridge, but it is a high-mass bridge with what appears to be the same bolt pattern. It's a Gotoh J510SJ, if you're interested.

I've had problems with Badass brdges and P-Basses. The bridge sits to low.

I'll see what happens. The bass should be here in a couple of days.
