What can I do with the cabinet of MG100 1x12 combo

Hi, I just picked up the body of a MG100 1x12 combo. The amp has been removed so it is just the cabinet + stock speaker.

Anything useful I can do with this? Would it work well as an extension cab for my JCM800 4010 if I upgraded the speaker, or am I wasting my time?

MDF cabinets aren't so great, but every cabinet is different. Try a speaker that you know and like, and then see how you like it. It probably won't be too terrible.

I think you'll be able to get a decent sound out of it. I've played a Marshall DSL with a MG 2x12 but it had Vintage 30s in it. Sounded pretty good. I think you just need to find the right speakers for it.
