Under the Christmas tree this morning I found a Tweed Champ amp like one that was stolen several years ago, a thing of beauty is a joy forever. my wife won't tell me where she found it or how much she paid. All I can say is that is one ripsh** gift. (can hardly wait to get some time alone with it and crank it up and hear it sing, then take a look behind the curtain at the circuit...what new caps might it need....install a pot in the feedback loop...oh what fun!)

I woke up to this beauty under the tree this morning... Still not sure how my wife hid this from me for the last few months!!!

Santa didn't bring me anything but since I got a bonus on top of my Christmas bonus (because I'm doing my job pretty alright), I bought this mint '09 Epiphone Korina Flying V from ebay, very happy with it!

I also traded a guitar and I think the trade went excellent for me: I gave him my Epiphone Les Paul Custom without pickups and he gave me this wonderful Epiphone Gothic Explorer that plays like a dream, I never owned such a great playing instrument! (plus it has upgraded electronics to CTS and Switchcraft and genuine Gibson humbuckers)

I'd say this was very successful for me and I don't plan on continuing this selling/buying/trading thing forever and hope I have my keepers now :headbang:

OMG! I had no idea Gibson made anything that beautiful. Maple fretboard and far afield from their usual stuffy offerings...are you sure that is an actual untouched Gibson built...please don't take offense, it is just so different and elegant in a non- Gibson sorta way.

Yes Sir; Gibson offered an all Maple (Fretboard/Neck/Body) Les Paul in 2009 as the Studio Raw Power.

New jeans and a shirt.

No gear, but that's ok.

We have a new kitten too. Our other cat is working on getting acclimated to him.

Musically related - A really cool Illustrated Directory of Guitars book from one of my niece's and a tattoo session with my other niece/God daughter for a Day of the Dead Mariachi tatt, whoohoo!

I did pre-game Christmas though and took big time advantage of a crazy sale and picked up my new Goldtop!

A couple of hand tools for continuing to fix up the house. That being said last week I got a new drill/driver, impact driver, reciprocating tool and compound mitre saw with stand, so I think that was technically my Christmas present.

As my present to myself I have a voodoo lab PP2+, a few yet unnamed switching devices and 50' of Mogami cable with Switchcraft connectors waiting for some assembly... ;)

Nobody got a Stratocaster! Guess I'll have to hurry up and buy that S-500 been wanting so bad to balance out the overwhelming Gibson's.

Santa, we, my dad, perma-loaned me his '62 Les Paul. No pics at the moment, but that'll be rectified tomorrow.
