It may be, but you'd really have to play it to find out. One lesson I wish I would have learned earlier in my guitar playing life is that you should spend money on your amp, not your guitar and effects. (I mean, you need a decent guitar, but a MIM with replacement pickups is a great axe) I was using a little SS Peavey, GASsing for a "real" Les Paul or PRS... I found out a few years later my Epi with Duncans sounds great through a good tube amp.
Point is, if you play it and really feel it's worth that and it's your tone, then get it. If you just want a half stack, maybe the better option is to save more cash and scour the used avenues (ebay, craigslist, etc.)
