What do you guys think of this mongrel tele-strat? Photoshop fun!

Hey guys. What do you think of this Stratelecaster? Kinda cool, kinda ugly. But heck, I'd play it.

Butterscotch ash body, and load it up with some AlnicoII Pros in the neck and mid, and a Jerry Donahue in the bridge... WOW.

Photoshop is great for concepting guitars.

That's pretty cool to my eye, but the only reason I'd put a tele bridge on a strat would be to get the attack of a three saddle ashtray. With what ya got going there you might as well put a tele pickup in a regular hardtail strat. Oh, and I'd probably fit the pickguard real tight around the bridge plate. That gap looks wonky.

Here's one of my old ideas I keep meaning to try someday: (just imagine it with a chopped ashtray bridge)

Kinda reminds me of my strat.
Only mine is ugly and beat up.
Alnico II neck and middle and a vintage broadcaster for the bridge.
In order to keep the tremolo I cuted half of a tele bridge and bolted it to the strat body.

I think it's pretty fuggin awesome. I'd take that over a normal Strat anyday

Now ya got me wantin to do that with my ash Strat! Can a regular tremolo type Strat be retrofitted with a Tele bridge?

Always fun to mix those two...
Had a hardtail strat once...no pickguard though, it got retrofitted with an old Telebridge...twang!
And a fat one too....as with all my other experiments, I eventually sold it..lol

I'd rather this sort of Stratele:

If the pickguard on the lower horn was a little narrower to follow the curve of the body that would be perfect.

I dunno about mixing a strat and a tele, not really that great aesthetically, but I could go for a Tele meets this look...

Yeah, so, I saw Explosions in the Sky last night - awesome. Except now I have Talman-GAS.

Nothing like a Strelecaster. Been looking to "televize" one of my Strats for a while now.

Yeah - it was a bit of a quick & dirty bodge-up so that lower horn isn't quite right.

And I love my Ibanez Talman (seeing as someone's mentioned 'em).
