What do you have only one of?

"I can't tell you but I know it's mine."

Re: What do you have only one of?

I ditched all my other Modulation effects after getting my Strymon Mobius. It sounded better or equal to all the analog effects I put it up against, and because it's digital you can get sounds that were never possible on the original units. Hell I even ditched my wah for the filter setting on an expression pedal.

I had a mooer yellow comp, and it was certainly nice, but I think my SD Vise Grip just does so much more for my overall sound so the mooer left.

Walrus Audio Voyager is the only strict overdrive pedal on my board, though I have previously used a Boss OS-2, Ibanez Tubescreamer, EHX Soul Food, Mooer Green Mile, and a Lovepedal OD-11 in various combinations. When I got the Voyager I turned it on and felt happy and just.. stopped stacking drives, so when I went to remake my board only the Voyager stayed.

Rest of my pedals I have doubles of on my board, two reverbs and two delays.

Re: What do you have only one of?

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things and I hate having stuff around that I don't use or absolutely need so I consolidate down to what I'll get the most use out of and unload the rest:

looper: Boomerang III

delay: Boss DD-500. I'm actually selling an excellent condition Maxon AD999 because I've been getting lost in the options of this thing. Both kill the big box EH DMM, but I've also liked others I've owned in the past like the DLS Echotap.

boost: Cornish CC-1. I've gone through quite a few. I had a Radial one, GoudieFX Crystal Boost, countless tubescreamers (Ibanez TS10, MJM Blues Devil, Clay Jones Overdrive), Siegmund Missing Link

distortion: Mesa Flux Five. Game changer for me. Gosh, it replaced an XTS Atomic, Bogner XTC Blue, MXR Double Shot, Analogman KOT V4, Xotic BB, Pro Analog Dual Drive, Pro Analog Power Drive. Only one I miss is a Cornish SS-3, but for what I need a distortion for the Mesa will get more use.

tuner: Sonic Research ST-200. Far and away better than the Peterson Strobostomp 1 and 2 and Boss TU-2 I've owned as well as a Planet Waves I used to use.

buffer: Cornish LD-1. Best buffer ever. Destroyed all of the pedal buffers I've used in the past and even topped the almighty VHT Valvulator.

Stuff I've owned in the past includes trem and I've found that I liked the Red Witch Pentavocal over the Demeter Tremulator. I dug the Pro Analog Supa Quack over the Dunlop Dimebag Crybaby and Teese Joe Walsh sig. wah.

In all truth: testicles. Lost one when I was three....hernia. Been sportin' the mono sack ever since. Girls like me 'cause I'm different.

Sorry if this bit of truth violates the TOU rules.

Re: What do you have only one of?

The pedals I like, I tend to have several of. I like different takes on it, I like to swap them out periodically. If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.

Re: What do you have only one of?

My pedalboard is pretty compact. I rarely use more than 2 pedals at a time, so I have no need for multiple pedals.

1 tuner, 1 noise gate, 1 wah, 1 delay, 1 rotary, 1 overdrive, and a footswitch.

Re: What do you have only one of?

AMT Japanese Girl Wah. Nuff said. No need for any other.

Distortion/boost, on the other hand. I have a closet full.
