Well, i own a Jackson RX 10 D, i removed the stock duncan designed pickups and i've installed a Jazz on the neck and a Dimebucker on the bride. I play 80's hair metal, but with a very heavy distortion, whath do you think about my pick ups? Any advice is welcome. Rock On!!!!

I think the real question is...what do YOU think of your pickups ;).

Re: What do you think 'bout my pick ups

I think that they are the best, for my tone ideas, but is this a forum or not? So i decided to read also other's opinions.. maybe someone else would suggest me a better p.u. set. Rock On!

Sounds like they will do just fine. If you want to change the bridge later on, i'd suggest a Custom or Distortion.
One of my friends has a Dimebucker in his guitar and he loves it; I like the Custom a little better, though.

Re: What do you think 'bout my pick ups

Well i use the dimebucker because i want to get a strong and distortion on my rhytm parts. With this pickup installed in bridge position i can play "dirty" even with my amplifier gain set in a medium value, so i can reach an heavy and clear tone for palm muting riffs but i also can get a definite sound when i play strumming riffs :D Rock On!!!!!!!!!

Re: What do you think 'bout my pick ups

I haven't tried the Dimebucker in my Jackson,
but I did try the JB, DD, Custom, and Invader.

I was looking for punchy bass, so the Invader worked for me.

Besides the Invader, I liked the Custom.
