What does the bottom of a duncan single look like??

The previous owner of my second hand Squier strat told me he'd replaced the bridge pickup with a Duncan and the neck and middle with Fenders. However, when I took the guard off the other day I noticed all 3 pickups were plain black on the bottom. Is this normal, or have I been told porkies??

The Duncan should have a small white sticker with the model number on it.
