What gear should I buy my brother for his b-day?

My price range is around $40 :blackeye:

I was thinking of getting him some cool little accessory like one of those headstock mounted tuners, or just something that he can use with his guitars. I was going to buy him a DiMarzio Evolution (he's a big shredder wannabe :laugh2: HUGE Mr. Big fan) but I'm just tooo poor.

Maybe there's some cool/cheesey shredder stuff to get him?

How about the Fender/Mcguier kit for maintaining and keeping clean his axe for around $25 and throw some strings in with it?

A cool-looking strap, and a straplock. If that's not enough, you could always clean his guitar, make it look all nicer and shinier.

eBay that Evo!

You could get him one of those kits that has all the gizmos... string winder, pliers, snips, allen wrenches, etc etc. All very useful and a lifelong gift.

I like the idea of straplocks and a strap! Find out what color hardware he has on his git-tar (black or chrome)- I'd go with Schaller Straploks (another thread on that one...) As far as straps, you can't go wrong with 2 1/2" black leather. You can get both for $40 easy!

Another plus- he can use the strap in the bedroom on his girlfriend/wife too!
