THIS GUY!!!!!!
So I will make a long story short. About three months ago I notice a Dean Icon being offered for sale on the local (Tampa Bay area) craigslist. I post a PSA on the Dean Guitars forum. A number of members contacted the guy about buying it, but he wouldn't ship. His original price was $350 I believe.
So he keeps reposting week after week, and dropping his price. Still he won't ship. Well, today I sell a guitar, and give him a call. I go there and buy it for $230. And since I'm on the Seymour Duncan forum, I'd like to report that it came with a 59/JB Zebra set. I'm honestly not sure if it's stock that way. Unfortunately the Dean Forum is down, so I can't ask the guy who I would normally ask questions about it.
It did need a string change and a bit of a set-up. I'll fine tune it in the morning, but it's 95% the way there. The odd thing I will say about it is, I usually don't like the JB, but it sounds pretty awesome in this guitar. Another odd thing. I've gotten two Dean guitars in two weeks, and the Dean Forum is down. This is huge news I should be sharing over there. I wonder what's the deal? Anyway, I'm a firm believer in the "pics or it didn't happen" rule. So here you go.
