According to his website, he uses a Lindy Fralin Blues Special bridge pickup and an Adder neck pickup.

If oyu read the fairly recent VG interview with Brad and his tech he changes pickups in guitars daily sometimes! Brad also has a HUGE stash of rather choice Tele pickups. Most of his pickups are Adder, Fralin or Voodoo neck pickups and either Fralin or Voodoo bridge pickups.
I think for that modern country Tele sound you'll want to stay away from the fat edgy 50's stuff...60's style pickups will get you close to that sound.
