what is a respectable picking speed

i can just make 10 notes a second picking a difent note cleanly each time
i can do 8 notes a second very acuratly for as long as i like....
not to great i know

but how fast is everyone els

is there a standard?

and in all honesty who is the fastest?

Yes, picked. Alternate, sweep. Tapped also. Oh, and strummed, if using Rasgeado.

Flank, i will, but i need cables to connect to pc + im installing new pups(Yjm - neck, middle, Jb Jr - bridge).

I dont pick that fast at all so I dont know about that. But if you want to hear fast check out Michael Angelo Batio. He is as fast as they get.
