what is an asymmetrical HB?

does it have two different set of magnets or two coils have different turns? if they have different turns how does it still cancell hums?

im assuming that its an unbalanced bucker with one coil having more turns than the other. its still quiet, maybe not as quiet as an an aph which is perfectly balanced but still basically hum-free. not anything like a single coil

The coils of my UGD pup are about 1k apart. I haven't installed it yet, so I can't tell you how it sounds, but all the people who have hybrid pickups can tell you. I think the Pearly Gates and a few others have mismatched coils.
