What is the best hook up wire?

I'm wanting to to do things *right*. Up to now I've been wiring up guitars that were more learning projects. Anyway...

Being the perfectionist that I am, what is the best hook up wire to use? When (where) should I use the shielded braided wire?

Acme Guitarworks sells teflon insulated wire, cloth wire, & the shielded braided wire.

The cloth wire seems to be pretinned along the entire length. This seems like it would be very cool. Not only to have the wire pretinned; but the tinning would increase the stiffness of the wire.

Um.... Am I really being dumb about this or does no one have any opinons on this? I'm really curious when to use shielded wire and when I don't need to. Also is cloth wire good to use or just for vintage snobs? The teflon stuff should do well with heat; but I haven't use it or the cloth. Just the PVC stuff that shrinks away when it sees any heat. Many questions...
