well, out of the options? I'm thinking about getting one for my Marshall JVM410H.

1. The Live-In case that you remove the front and back lids.
2. The Bottom case in which you take the top off the case and the bottom stays under it.

or
3. Just a case that you would remove the head from, only for moving around.

When do you actually need a live-in case?

Don't buy a heavy duty road case unless your gear is being moved around in trucks by a cartage company or roadies. They're huge, heavy, expensive, and overkill for most musicians playing clubs.

The best thing for you to buy is a padded Tuki cover.
www.tukicovers.com It'll protect the amp head, as well as being cheaper, lighter, and easier to store or carry around.
You can still carry the head by it's handle, rather than requiring two guys to lift an HD roadcase.

Get a padded Tuki or regular vinyl cover for your cab. Roadcases for cabs are ridiculous. They're monstrous and usually cost as much as the cab they're protecting.

At one point, I needed real roadcases. But I quickly realized how back breaking it was to move those things. Once I bought a padded Tuki cover for my amp head, and vinyl Marshall covers for the cabs, I realized it was the way to go.

+1 ...I've got that same head. That sucker is a ball buster all by itself!
