Nothing but SD in this house. JB/Jazz in the Jackson RR3 and JB/PG in the Peavey Patriot. Both sets are zebra/rev zebra (hey, I'm in to symmetry!)...

I voted dimarzio just to offset the poll. I've only tried one but it has worked nicely. Every other pickup I've had?

Definitely a poll here will be slanted.

But I can say over the years I have personally used EMG, Dimarzio, Seymour Duncans and various others. For about six years I did all pickup installations in all kinds of guitars at the guitar shop I worked at.

For my ears at least, I have settled on Seymour Duncan.

I couldn't really even pick a favorite. Depends on the guitar.
Pickups are like shirts in a wardrobe closet. If you are like me, you probably have a bunch of pickups hanging around - and swap them in and out as the seasons change.

It's like only picking one fruit to eat for the rest of your life....that'd be picking one company which you buy pickups from.

There's lots of companies out there making great products. Duncan just happens to be one of them.

I currently like BL L-500XL and EMG 81. So, I voted other. There are a lot Duncans that I like much or even very much. But these two go even further for me.

Hmm, something tells me that the BK MM is going to be even heavier for the Thrash/Power side of Metal.

I dont have a favorite. If it sounds good and fits my needs, I dont care who makes it.

My favorite pickup brand turned out to be DiMarzio. I literally, for 2 years straight ONLY tried Seymour Duncan pickups and they were in and out in and out - sometimes daily. When I reached and end with SD pickups, ones that I thought would be best for my style of playing, I checked the DiMarzio site and I found way more tones I liked there - even if I wouldn't use all their pickups. Goes to show you shouldn't just stick to one pickup company cuz ya may be shorting yourself.

The DiMarzio pickups that are NEVER coming out that I use are the D Sonic and Humbucker from Hell. Going with DiMarzio pickups were quite literally like a one-two punch; the first two DiMarzio's I tried and "Bang", PERFECT personal tone. I think one reason is because their tone is broad, like the SD Custom, which was the only Duncan, especially clean, I liked the feel of.

I think Duncan's didn't work out for me ultimately because, 1) they didn't contain my dream tone, if you will, 2) one pickup contained tone on top of tone, which threw my focus off, and 3) not a real reason, but they buzzed/hummed like hell! All the ones I tried did; installed two Dimarzio's, much quieter. Don't know why.

TV Jones, because it's the only company really dedicated to those types of pups.

However, SD is easily tied. I just wanted to show love! Both great companies. I have limited experience with DiMarzio.

I've owned 'em all. Duncan is the best. Fender is #2 for me.

I've not voted as I've not tried enough pups. At some point I'll get some bareknuckles, I get the feeling they'll suit me to the ground, but I may be biased being a brit n all.

Gibson, Duncan, DiMarzio, WCR, Lollar...

They're all good choices.

I like this unpotted set of Duncan '59s a whole lot. IMO, this is how Duncan should have been building them all these years. I liked regular '59s anyhow, but I like these are a lot more.

I have to say the Fender Custom Shop pups in my tele. Like em better than anything i have ever played.

I put other because in my Strat i like Dimarzio HS-3 and in my Ibanez I like Seymour Duncan Lil 59s
