I'm not sure about that. They don't actually mention that in their blurb, (Dream Crusher), but it is two NOS germanium tranny's and two simple controls. I'm not sure what an original Fuzzface sounds like, so I can't really compare the two.

sounds like it could be a ff circuit or at least based on the ff. fun pedals!

I distinctly remember reading something about it being based on the Fuzz Face.

I've got a Shin Ei Companion Fuzz clone made by Foot Fetish Pedals that's super gnarly. I've been really digging it for my over-the-top fuzz tones.

I like the Klon although it's not a fuzz.

I've owned several AF1 Klon clones, and liked them tons!

But I sold them after purchasing a Klon KTR.

Could be. But "based" on something, is not the same as "is" something. It only takes an input/output cap change to morph it into something else.

On a side note, I notice that they've discontinued it. Maybe, no more NOS germanium transistors left? Or something better to replace it? :scratchch

I'm a huge fan of the Swollen Pickle. It can do tighter distortion all the way to big open sounding fuzz.

ive heard of builders designing something around a certain tranny and when they are gone, they are gone.
