So, I've been looking around for bass amps for a long time, and I finally got one; a Gallien-Krueger 400RB. Originally, it was $750, but it was marked down to $580 for clearance. I got the floor model, it was on clearance because it was the only one left. I ended up not paying for the tax, and payed the $580 price tag and left with it. If I had payed the sales tax, it would've been $45 extra, bringing the price to $625.
Would most people have been able to get an actual discount on something like this, or get some pedals/cables thrown in, or did I do pretty well?
This was my first time cutting any sort of deal with a guitar shop, and I feel I did pretty well. Though I somehow feel that I should've been able to get a little something extra out of the fact that it was a floor model.
