What kind of pickups should I put in this?

I've got a Revival Hondo Flying-V from the 80's. It's a pretty decent guitar, however, the pickups in it right now squeal like crazy. Any suggestions on what kind of pickups I would be best off with? I mostly play blues and funk-rock. Thanks.

Some suggestions...

Bridge :
'59 for a vintage flavor.
Pearly Gates for a vintage flavor with attitude.
Custom 5 for more output.

Neck :
Jazz for a more articulate tone.
'59 for a smoother tone.

I've got a Pearly Gates/Jazz config in my guitar, and the middle position sounds great for funk riffing. Those pickups excel in blues too.
The Jazz doesn't quite cut it with high-gain, but clean or moderately overdriven it sounds great.

I think I would go 59/C5. I don't know why, but that just jumped out at me when I read your post. I think it would sound good for funk, and nice and warm for the blues.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm also interested in playing a lot of classic rock too though, a lot of Led Zep of course. I've had mini humbuckers suggested and the humbuckers that come standard in a Les Paul. Any more ideas? It's a solid body guitar with a fixed bridge, 1 volume dial, 2 tone dials. It's got a real Gibson feel to it.

A Custom Custom is great for that classic rock stuff, I recently tried in an axe, and it sounded superb for some vintage rock, but it could also handle some high gain. It had some cut but no harshness. The clean ups were decent as well. I think it'd be great for some Led Zep. Try a Jazz in the neck, it's very articulate and expressive and could be perfect for some funk. It's said to be one of the cleanest Duncans around, so that's gotta mean something.
