What kind of pots do I need to stock up?

I've got a Epiphone Les Paul Standard 2000 Model and I want to pick up a few extra pots (mainly volume pots) just to have on hand in case the need arises. I know they use 500k but what else do I need to know before buying? Something about shaft size or length?

Please fill me in.

Probably has the small bushing pots. If you want to upgrade to CTS (or Bourns), the hole needs to be reamed out slightly. I'd pick up an inexpensive reamer and stock some CTS or Bourns pots. The Bourns pots generally have a coarse spline and will accept the stock knobs on many/most imports. CTS generally have fine spline shafts so you might need new knobs if you go that route. If you don't want to enlarge the holes, look for the smaller bushing Alpha brand pots that require 5/16" mounting holes and stock some of those.
