hey all, I want to put a mounting ring on my seymour duncan jb humbucker but i do not know if I need a specific one. I looked at stewmac for some but they say it's for a "gibson" styled humbucker. My question is, where can I find the right pickup ring for my humbucker. for those of you who bought mounting rings, where did you guys get them from? Just wanna make sure i dont get a mounting ring that is too big or too small for my jb's

well the first question if the jb is going into an existing guitar ? & where are the pickup rings that were in the guitar...... traditional style humbuckers "PAF" will fit any style i had ever seen with the only exception of pickups like plastic cover humbucker pickups like the jackson pickups that were in the MIJ charvels ..but the difference in height vary the high ring being in the bridge position & the low ring being in the neck

I'd get a triple shot with a JB personally...I like the sound of the JB split. Gives if a nice twang and still has decent enough output to be usable.
Other that that, you need to know if you need les paul style (curved/slanted), trembucker (flat and even all around), or and SG stlye (flat/slanted).

my jb is going on a new guitar body i have, there were no ring holes screwed onto the body. I just need the rings so the humbucker wouldnt be moving around and be kept in place with the ring around it. I was interested in the plastic rings generally, and i have a HxH configuration on the body.
