02 les paul std?(BB5'S?)
05 R7 GT?(BB 1 and 2's?)
so far i think the LP STD sounds warmer ,and the R7 brighter.(just got the R7 newyears eve)
whats the difference? the magnets?

i lowered the neck pick up on the R7 maybe 1/32".it seems to have have taken some of the brightness out,which is what i wanted.is this right?

It still has that new guitar brightness, give it time.

I'm not sure that they weren't still using the 498/5xx back in 02.

How do they compare play-wise? Sustain?
