What pickups for my warlock?

I want to put some duncans in my NJ series warlock, the tone wizard said either Blues Trembucker/59 or Custom 5/Jazz, but i dunno if i like those combinations. Right now, ive got a dimarzio evo 2 and a super 2 in there, but im going to change those out and put them into my ibanez, as theyll probably suit it better.

I want a rhythm sound sort of like Eric Peterson from Testament, so i was thinking Duncan Distortion, but id like a solo tone similiar to that of Chris Poland... which is probably asking a lot of my technique more than anything , but if anyone has any ideas, id like to hear them

maple neck, alder body, its a bolt-on, and its going through a 50 watt JCM900 stack

I like the DD/Jazz combo in my Warlock, I tried a few different pup combos in it.

I had a NJ Series before, and the one I have now is just a bit brighter.

IMO it's a good choice.

I dont know much about Testament but, the DD/jazz is a good setup!

Consider the Custom/pearly gates neck also.

I didn't like the Custom in my Warlock... it was good for 80's hair metal.

But I don't play that type of music.

Custom/PGn sounds like a good combo for that style.

I put the DD/DD set in mine first, put the Custom in and didin't like it.

Then I tried the Custom with the Jazz... hair metal.

The DD/Jazz got the tone I was looking for.

I didn't like the DD in the neck for that guitar.

So if the DD doesn't work in the bridge with his setup... I'd try the Custom.

thanks for the advice. i think ill end up going for the DD/Jazz, sounds like what i need
