Dear all,
I have been playing the guitar for 8years but am new to pickups..recently my Godin LG's neck was broken and I have to find a relatively cheap replacement in a short time.
I am thinking of getting an Ibanez SAS32FM(around $400 us dollars in my place) and put two new humbuckers on it, the specs of the SAS32FM are as follows:
neck type 3pc SA set-in neck
body Flamed Maple top/Mahogany body
fret Medium frets
bridge SAT Pro bridge
neck pu AH3 (H) neck pu
bridge pu True Duo Bucker (H) bridge pu
a relatively thin and light body (mahogany), maple neck
I play anything from pop to metal, from broken chord cleans to metallica heavy riff. So I would also want a humbucker which can be splitted to emulate single coil tones.
I am considering the following : neck - Dimarzio Air Norton, Seymour Duncan Sh2(jazz), Bridge - Dimarzio Tone Zone, Seymour Duncan Sh4(JB)
Does these pickups suit my needs? and Which pair is better for my need? Dimarzio pairs or seymour duncan pairs?
It seems that I am too greedy...:smack:
Thank you very much for your advice!
Regards,
Jerry
