What pups to go with cool rails in neck of DK2?

I have been putting together a Jackson Dinky. I found a blue flame body on ebay ages ago, and then recently got a maple neck (DK2M i think it is) to go with it. I finally put them together and strung it up.

I had a Cool rails lying around which I dropped in the neck position just to see how the guitar played. I was surprised at how good the cool rails sounded. It sounds great and have been playing through marshall with it all arvo. Now I need to find pickups to go with it. I need a middle single coiled size and a humbucker for the bridge.

I am not adverse to a bucker in the middle.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

they would work well, depending on what you want out of the guitar. The DD might be a bit too hot to mix with the VR, unless you auto-split the DD in pos 4.

try the Vintage Rails in the Middle and the Custom in the bridge.
The Custom bridge HB goes particularly well with the Cool Rails neck according to a buddy of mine with that setup.

Vintage rails in the middle would be nice for great versatility. JB is a must for the bridge of a Alder Dinky body. It is going to scream!!!!

PATB-3 or Custom 5 in your bridge position. You should get pretty interesting and pleasing results.

Sorry to bump this, but I am still undecided about which to choose. I'm pretty certain I will go for vintage rails in middle.

How would an alternative 8 sound in the bridge? It seems to be quiet popular here on the forum, and versatile.

I have a JB in a Les Paul, and a Custom (Custom Custom?) in the bridge of my Epi dot. I have to say I quiet like the sound I have gotten from pups with A2 magnets in them, like my Pearly Gates in neck of Epi Dot and A2pro in neck of Les Paul. Obviously bridge pup in Jackson will be bit different. I also really did not care for the 59 i had the neck of the LP before I changed it.

So knowing what I like and what I don't how do you think I would like the Alt 8? and thanks everyone for their input thus far.

Just put an JB in that alder body and you won't regret it. Put an A8 in it if you want it warmer, thicker, tighter and hotter.
