What should I do to my Strat?

Strange because I'm having the opposite behaviour from block saddles, both on a Gotoh 510 and Hipshot. They removed that annoying "zinggy" thing I had with bent saddles.

No, I'm agreeing with you. These sound more zingy and thinner than block saddles. I like that. That's kinda what I'm going for.

Personally, I vote for change the pickup, I think a JB would nasty it up a bit and give you the more hairy edge you seem to be after that's missing right now, that's just me though. I love a JB in a Strat - I would describe the tone as "rude" so I figure that might solve your too polite issue. Start with a 500 and then maybe even try a 1meg if you think you want even a little bit more hair, maybe disconnect the tone controls
