What should I get this summer?

Im gonna get a new guitar this summer...

Im gonna play strictly metal on it and ya it can be $1000-$1500 maybe even 2000 but more the 1000-1500 range.

What should i look into or get?

Sounds like a Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard re-issue is right up your alley!

J/K, like everyone else is going to say a ESP standard is right up your alley.

lol, either a Jackson USA or ESP Japan hahaha. Those would both be like 1600 bucks though, lol.

I would say go for a USA Jackson. A Rhoades V or Kelly would be the way to go if you want a more extreme body style. A King V or Soloist for something a little less, sharp.

Of course you could get a PRS and be a snob like me, right Jackson? ;)

For metal....
Depends what type of metal. A PRS will get you into the stranger metal stuff. Where as a lot of those ESP guitars are your standard modern metal. The Choice i'd make is USA jackson.

There's hardly anything that could beat a USA Jackson and it should be in your pricerange. Go for it

Carvin DC127c with pointy headstock option.
Jackson Soloist SL2H.
ESP MII Standard (neck thru) or LTD Deluxe M1000.
Ibanez RGT220 or RGT320.
Schecter Hellraiser FR.

Those would be my top choices.

I'd go with a Custom RAN.

2nd place goes to a USA Jackson if you dig those - I found I didn't, so you never know.

A King V for somthing a little less sharp? That thing cuts doorways and kills elevator passengers.

I agree, the King V is definitely more badass than the rhoads.
