what single coils go good with the Custom?

anyone?

i like the idea of the pissed off P.A.F. that the Custom brings, but i dont think the Dimarzio choppers would sound good with it... they barely sound good with the '59 that i have in there now
so i'll be replacing them.

now, the question is..... which ones?
i want a sound that's smooth and creamy when i do leads on the neck pickup. i dont need a super high output shred machine for this, but just something that's smooth. and for middle, just something that will be used for clean rythm's, etc.

here are my ideas:

JB jr. neck/ classic stack middle

lil '59 neck/ SSL-1 middle


would any of these be a good combo, to match with the Custom.
recommendations are welcome

Yep, either of those would work.

I'd personally go for a Hot Stack in the middle, and a Hot Stack in the neck too.

Nothing like a soaring, smooth-but-prominent, single coil soloing tone coupled with the crushing sound of a high-output bridge humbucker.

And the stacks won't hum either.
