What Tele lead pickup is this? It has a 1BR sticker on it, but the stagger doesn't match either a Broadcaster or a '54 pickup.

Re: What TELE Lead Pickup Is This? Odd Stagger..

what does it read on a meter? it does have an odd stagger and someone has messed with the grounding on the base plate

Re: What TELE Lead Pickup Is This? Odd Stagger..

The pickup belongs to a FB friend who is in Sweden. H can get a meter tomorrow and test it.

I am thinking this may be custom made for a LEFTY?

Re: What TELE Lead Pickup Is This? Odd Stagger..

Looks like somebody pushed out the poles somehow (removed baseplate?). Duncans typically come either all flat or with the D&G poles raised.

Re: What TELE Lead Pickup Is This? Odd Stagger..

thats what i thought too except that the magnets are what the coil is wrapped around and there isnt extra to push up. the bottom of the magnet is flush with the bottom so if you pushed it up the coil would probably collapse

Well, nobody ever said that whoever did that was smart. LOL

We found out the hard way, yes someone did take the baseplate off and push the magnets up. It is (was) a standard, flat pole '48 Broadcaster pickup that is now dead and in the trash can.

Thanks for trying to help fellas!
