What to drop in a Kramer Nightswan

Ok,i bought it used, it has a custom-custom bridge,and hot rails neck(middle empty).bodywood is mahogany,bolt on maple-ebony neck,it originally had a middle pickup but it was routed for a neck single.Floyd Rose.24 gret,gibson scale.
Problems with sound are
Bridge is middy only.Sustains great, singing mids not tight bass at all and there is no hi-mid and hi content. So i want more bass, more treble.
Neck pickup is too bassy and middy doesn't cut through.
I'd like to stay on the hotter side of pickups.i don't like the full shred, too trebly.
I think tb custom bridge,lil59 neck.what would yoy suggest?
3 position switch with a general(both pickups) tap switch.

That sounds like the Vivian Campbell model. It would have had a Full Shred in it originally. The FS is always billed as being bright but I never found that to be the case with the one I had in a strat.

If your not diggin' the FS the custom is fine or you might think about a JB or a C5. The CC is going to be very big in the mids by design

Re: What to drop in a Kramer Nightswan

I've got a guitar with a FS/'59 setup.
When I got a new guitar, I wanted something fuller than the FS.
I decided on the Custom. I really like it, it definitly has thicker sound. I wasn't disappointed at all with the Custom. It's really in your face.

The FS is a good pup, holds together well under gain, very articulate, and crunchy as hell. I think I like it better if I would be able to play super blazing leads. It's agreat pup for that. It's not that the FS is overly bright, it just has no bass response. If that makes sense?

Disclaimer: My Custom is an Epi Lp.

So i guess a tb custom bridge will do.what about the lil '59 neck.Yes it is the Vivian Cambell model with a route for a neck single coil.the middle is empty with a nice piece of ebony cap bolt to the four screws of the middle hum ring.By the way i sanded the colour away from the body.this mahogany looks beautiful

You did what?? You sanded paint from the body???? GUHHH!!! Was it already beat up? Sorry, I love old Kramers.

A Custom in that thing will scream. The Custom Custom is a great pickup but is midy so you have to cut back the mids on your amp a little bit. The Little 59 neck would be sweet, or maybe even a Cool Rails.

Re: What to drop in a Kramer Nightswan

Eric it was not beat up,but had 2 colours one on top of the other. It was blue metal flake on top of an otherwise lovely yellow aged but extremely worn off white. It seemed to me that this instrument could resonate better and guess what, now it does!!!!I love old kramers too.Ahhh those where the days...
Now if l'59 is sweet, how would the cool rails be?
Also would i get a cute approximation of a tele with both pickups split?

Ahh, I see. Some dummy painted over the original paint then? Don't ya hate that? LOL.

I think the Cool Rails will be a little mellower than the Little 59 in the neck. Not sure what it would sound like split. I don't split humbuckers very often, if at all.

I think the TB5 and l'59n will do it for me then.I don't mind the guitar being a little grungy but i definitely want tight bass.I expect mids come with mahogany.Mostly Hard rock(whitesnake'87,DLR,VH,etc)and rock in general is my style.
