What would a PG/Custom Hybrid sound like...

...with maybe an A8 or an A4? My current setup is a triple HB Epi with a APH-1 in the neck, PGb in the middle, and Custom in the bridge. I really want to try the Custom with an alnico 8, but I'm wondering, why not go balls out and really experiment? Maybe put one hybrid with an 8 in bridge and other with a 4 in the middle. Anyone out there tried any of these combos?

The PGB/Custom Hybrid is great...It's basically the same as the 59B/Custom Hybrid....I prefer A2,A4,or A5....Haven't felt the need to go any higher on the magnet strength above A5?

You have to try out the magnets and see what works for you? In my Love Rock I'm using an A2 59B/Custom Hybrid bridge and an A4 Jazz/59n in the neck position...I generally like the sweeter,rounder,warmer tone of the A2 magnet in the bridge,but I need things tighter,brighter in the neck...

Both pickups with both magnets give me a great articulate tone...The bridge reads 11k and the neck reads 7.8k....

I'm watching the 10k MJ wind pickup everyone is looking into,but I'm going to wait and see what transpires with that pickup? Should be easy to scoop one up,as I Know that not everyone is going to like it...
