What would sound best?

Hi I have a Carvin CT6-M , that has a carved maple top, mahogony back & neck with ebony fingerboard. I love the guitar however don't like the electronics. Any recomnendations on pickups. Love that Gov't. Mule, Derek Trucks sound.

Alnico 2 humbuckers are what both of those guys use.

Seth Lovers or Antiquitys if you like nickels covers....Pearly Gates or Alnico 2 Pros if you like them uncovered.

Warren has used Duncan Pearly Gates...I think Derek might have Gibson 57 Classics in his SG.

Those are alnico 2 pickups though.

for a derek tone in that guitar i think seths or antiquitys would work well. the carvins are brighter guitars, thick maple top and ebony board which will blend well with the warm toned seth. derek is almost always on the neck pup and sets his amps very bright (treble on 9 on his super) and uses the tone controls quite a bit. youll have to play around with settings to get close to what he does, especially if you use a pick since he never does.
warren uses pearly gates, antiquitys and burstbuckers (not pros). i might shy away from the pg in your carvin if its a bright guitar.
