What's a good price for a used MIA strat?

Greetings all,

Need a little help. I'm considering buying another Fender MIA standard strat, Nothing fancy as far as bells and whistles, even a couple of dings are ok. Was on ebay and most standard MIA's are going for around $600.

What price I should be looking for? Was thinking about $500 for one but again so many people are bid happy on ebay that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to spend $600+ $25 dollars for shipping when a new strat is about 700 (which I paid when I bought mine 1st one at GC)........

Again no bells and whistles and no "special' models or colors (black w/a maple neck is what I'm after.)

if you asked me, I'd say $500- $550, but I haven't been watching prices on those ... usually, I think the best deals are really local, rather than ebay

remember that 90s MIA strats sold for about $550 in their day

No more than $700. I picked up my '92 MIA FR Classic strat for 600 with a case and it was in 9.9 condition.

Yeah, I agree with Curly..$500 to $550

With a good set of Duncans in it, $650 to $700
Thats considering it's a Regular American Strat, in good shape ,with a nice hard case.

Some of the Higher Dollar Re-Issue models are naturally going to go for more.
