hi all, if you have read my posts recently you know i purchased a lefty agile 3500 and upgraded it with SD jb/jazz combo. the sound is great the feel is great bla bla bla..but i have 1 issue...if i strike the low e string i get a buzzing that i dont get on any other string and frankly its killing me. in order to fix this i a) adjusted the truss rod to make the neck a bit more downward sloping (which i assume raises the action slightly) b) raised the low e side of the bridge slightly c) slightly raised the nut just on the low e string. after all this still have a discernable buzz on the low e string, much more so than on my other guitars (peavey predator plus and mex strat). any ideas? i have looked at the neck and it does not look at all warped or anything. also, thought its very hard to tell by looking, i think the ring comes from the string hitting the 4th fret which to my eye is no different then any of the other frets. HELP i love this guitar and need to have this sorted out. is there any way for me to file down the fret just a bit where i beleive the e string hits it? finally, someone told me that les paul or les paul type guitars may have more buzzing due to the length of the neck being shorter...is there anyting to this. thanks in advance for the advice.
