I have a guitar that has sh-1n 4conductor on neck. Applied coil split with push pull pot.
I want to use sh-1 set.
Want to apply coil split on bridge pickup too.

I search the items and I need a question now.
The sh-1 2conductor and tb59 are has the same price.
The sh-1b 4conductor has little higher price than sh-1b 2conductor and tb59. (about 15$)

What's the difference between 4conductor sh-1b and tb59?
The only things that I know is just pole piece spacing(and tb59 has the logo:)) but I think it can't be the point of difference price.
Is there any better point on sh-1b 4conductor than tb-59?

Thanks AlexR. I think same with you. So then why does the price is difference?

Re: What's difference between 4conductor sh-1b and tb59?

Should be the same price. Does one have a nickel cover?

No I'm searching for black one.
But nickel covered ones are also has difference price.

I'm searching on ebay.
SH-1B black 2conductor is about 79$.
TB-59 black is the same. About 79$.
But SH-1B black 4conductor is about 95$

SH-1B nickel 2conductor is about 99$
TB-59 nickel is the same.
But SH-1B nickel is about 109$

Am I searched the wrong way?

59s are standard wired single conductor and 4 conductor is an upcharge option on those. TBs (and most other SH, btw) are standard wired as 4 conductor.

Is there any difference of result between sh-1 upcharge option and standard wired 4conductor?
Doesn't it the same?

As long as they have 4 conductors, should be the same thing. Looks like they currently use standard packaging for both the single conductor and 4 conductor versions.

On other thing to keep in mind: SH 59s come standard with long legs, but can be ordered with short legs. Looking at Ebay, those appear to come in shop floor custom packaging. And it appears short legs is a free option.

TBs come standard with 4 conductor wiring and short legs....even the 59.

I've ran a few readings on a 59 with single con and then put a 4-con lead on it and ran more readings. The difference between the resistance, inductance, and capacitance is so minute that it's not worth mentioning.

Strictly speaking, 'technically', sure, there is that very very very small difference. It'd take someone with Eric Johnson's ears to hear it...if even then.
