What's Similar To A Fender 351 Pick?

I've really been enjoying the way my Strat sounds using Fender's classic 351 celluloid pick. The issue is the grip. It really sucks. My fingers get all sweaty and it slides around. I like the warmer tone the puck produces though. The Dunlop Tortex has an awesome grip but is a little brighter sounding that the Fender pick. Is there anything out there that sounds like the Fender pick but has a better grip like the Tortex?

Try "cross-hatching" a grip surface onto the Fender picks. Use 100 grit sandpaper, with a block. Run the block at a 45 degree angle to the center line of the pick, then do the same thing, making the second set of lines perpendicular to the first. Repeat on the other side of the pick if one side is not enough. I used to do this when I used Fender Extra Heavies. It worked very well, and it kept me from needing to change picks.

Do what Grady Champion (Dimebag's guitar tech) used to do for Dimebag: Scratch hash marks into the pick with a dart or similar sharp pointy object.

if you don't want to do that...

have you tried the Dunlop nylons? try one of the thicker gauges. They're a bit warmer than tortex IME.

Thanks for all your input. I never thought about altering the Fender pick. I made some hash marks with a razor blade and it seems to be working pretty well.
