Whats so signiature about slash's signiature amp?

I know hes got a signiature marshall amp and its apparently what he uses. Exactly what is different about this amp compared to your standard marshall jcm800 or jubilee (i think he uses jubilees).

dont know 100%, but its probable just some little tweaks....

I guess it's the preamp and power tubes are different and customized...but don't know any other...

So far as i know, there is no difference between his amp and the standard jubilee... though i could be wrong.

The story i heard was that Slash spoke to Jim Marshall personally and asked him to repair about 10 serious damaged heads due to touring... and Jim said that it would probably be cheaper to build from scratch, and so he did. So the Silver Jubilee was reproduced for Slash after the actual line had finished, seeing the marketing opportunity, they re-released the amp under Slash's name.

I'd assume it's different in the sense that maybe there's different cosmetics or something... but i get the impression that the sound is the same.

The amp is exactly identical to the Jubilee 2555 except for Slash's signature on the front and the "JCM Slash" logo.

As far as I know it's the same amp as a 2555 Jubilee, but with different livery. Seeing as the Jubilees were so popular it made sense to reissue it, but they couldn't call it a Silver Jubilee after 1987.
