I have the chance to trade pickups with someone from another state and I have never done this before.What is the best way to do this? Thanks

You send yours, he sends his. Pretty simple. There's no garuntees, but 99% of the time things are fine, especially from regular members. You can check the feedback sections to see if your trader has done any deals in the past good or bad. But for something as small as a single pickup, I wouldn't sweat it too much.
