What's the Best Way to Put Drums on a Recording

Guitarist

Say, I want to put drums behind my guitar work, put it all in a editing program, and make some cds with GOOD quality. What should I do?

Drum Machine?
Drum Software?

Help me out here...and no, recommending that I find another drummer is not a good response. Thanks.

Good drum software (like Groove Agent, BFD, or Stylus RMX) will be better than any drum machine.

Drum software. Battery2 is my favorite, but Drumkit From Hell definitely sounds the best.

I use drum loops from SmartLoops... I think they sound pretty good.

I've got drum kit from hell 2, but i prefer just to use the standard LM-7 plugin in Cubase/Nunedo as its far less memory intensive and provides great sounds too. Also very easy to program.

Finally, drum kit from hell takes up to much god damn RAM! But its still great if ya have a super PC with 3GBs of ram and 5GHZ processor :D

DFH is pretty much unbeatable, loads of good software out there though...

Go with Battery 2 and sequence it in Nuendo! That's how I get all of my sounds!
