What's the difference between Bridge and Neck models, generally?

As in the subject - what's the difference between, say, a Pearly Gates neck and Pearly Gates bridge? I know that bridge pups are generally hotter than neck ones, to compensate for the less string movement down there, but are there any serious issues with putting a bridge pup in the neck spot, or vice versa?

seymour tends to add an extra 1000 turns or so, 1k, to the bridge units

Usually between between .2K to 1K on most Duncan models. Not enough difference for my liking though.

Not a whole lot of difference in most cases if you put the neck version in the bridge.

It will depend on which pup you're talking about. The 59, Seth Lovers, PG's, etc. are pretty close, but start looking at the Invader and Full Shred and the bridge model doubles the DCR. The Parallel Axis is more than double. I'm not sure of the science of why one is done one way, and another, another way.

I knew you knew. I realized after I posted that I accidently hit the "quote" button instead of the "reply" button. :smack:
