Whats the difference between the Duncan "Custom" p-90 & the "Stacked" P-90 ?

Whats the difference between the Duncan "Custom" p-90 & the "Stacked" P-90 ?

Besides the Stacked is Alnico & Custom is Ceramic.

Stacked DC is 31K & Custom is 14.6.

I would like something like an SH-5 type.

the stacked is two coils and cancels hum when both coils are wired, the custom p90 is what you want. strong output and a fairly aggressive tone. cool pup!

No. It's not hum canceling, but it is wax-potted.

EDIT: Didn't realize you're looking for P-90 soapbar.

Anything "Custom" from the Duncan line is tops. I wonder if there's a reason why there is no Duncan Designed version and I suspect it has to do with keeping the secret sauce close to the vest.

I like the stacked p90 quite a bit, I have mine wired to a push pull for series or parallel.

In parallel it’s p90 smooth without the hum, in series it has almost humbucker power and bark but still some p90 bite.

I bet that'd be really cool. I had a P90 stack in the neck position of a Tele and series wiring was far too hot, while parallel sounded like a typical P90. I bet series/parallel switching would be awesome in the bridge position at least.
